Halloween has its origins in Samhain, a Celtic party that marked the end of the harvest and the beginning of winter and that lasted all night.
It was believed that during that night the frontier between our world and the other world, that of the dead, could be crossed.
It is one of the most anticipated dates of the year. In the United States, it is second only to Christmas in terms of popularity.
The fantasy is the most fascinating part of Halloween, the date enables people to use creativity to dress the most diverse characters.
Today it is possible to find clothes for October 31 easily, either in stores or on Internet sites. However, when tradition began, the costumes required hard manual labor.
In the early 20th century, many costumes were made of materials collected from nature, such as horns, corn stalks, leaves and tree branches.
As well as clothes linked to legendary creature, such as witches, ghosts, and sorcerers, they were derived from homemade fabrics.
